My friend, Oliver Sinclair, will be spending the next few weeks in hospital (in Durban) and one of the things keeping his spirits up is the hope that he will get out in time to see (the Boks in) the RWC Final…
Oliver has been living with Multiple Sclerocis (MS) since 2004.
This has fortunately spurred the team onto better performances in subsequent games….and Bryan Habana has equalled Jonah Lomu’s record for tries in World Cups.
So Sprinkgboks – if you need a pep talk at the beginning or half way through the Rugby World Cup Final, I am sure Oliver could give you some words of encouragement. He has been through tougher stuff than the knockout stages – just read the Hickman Line entry below or the dialysis catheter update!!
In fact Oliver would tell you to watch his favourite TED talk – Boyd Varty: What I learned from Nelson Mandela – relates to Madiba so very apt in this instance!. See below.
Go on and win it for Oliver “Mtugudzi“ Sinclair.
